    1. Wow! That is awesome! I don't know if I could handle not showing favoritism if my daughter was in my class-lol! Is it a small school? Or do they just let you pick to have her?

  3. Hi Becky! Looks like you have been hard at work this summer! Things still have not slowed down for Julie and me yet! :) We are waiting to hear if someone from our grade level is getting moved because of enrollment... :( So, at this time I'm looking forward to finding out what grade I will be teaching! Ahhhhh! Good luck with the coming school year, your blogging, and your TpT sales! Kelly G.

    2. We meet with our principal tomorrow... so fingers crossed that he'll at least let us in on who is NOT moving! The thought of starting all over in a new grade level depresses me!! :(

  4. I am looking forward to seeing my self contained EC students show their progress at their own pace with reading. All of my students are at least 2-3 grade levels below their actual grade placement, I have one assistant, however I'm waiting to see if she will be switched to another class, which means my students and i will have to get use to another person. Ahh the drama!! My students need consistency! Good luck with your year!

  30. Mary D. - This is going to be a great year with my new "things" in kindergarten! (I am in a co-teach class and we use a Dr. Seuss theme and divide our group into Thing 1s and Thing 2s for smaller group instruction!) The kids LOVE it and our entire school loves referring to our kiddos as either 1s or 2s! It's always fun in kindergarten! This year is going to be our first year implementing daily 5 and we are excited about the learning opportunities we're going to provide our friends! I will be honest and say I'm going to really miss not waking up to an alarm and going to the beach several times a week with my own girlies, but I LOVE teaching and the amazing experiences I have every day! :)
